Society has played a big role in effecting our self-esteem and body image. Recently over the past few years barriers have begun to be broken by the fashion industry casting more women of different body types, shapes, and sizes. I was inspired to do this project by campaigns like Dove Beauty and models such as Ashley Graham who are promoting body positivity. In this photo series I asked a group of young women in their early 20's to take off their make-up and strip down to their underwear to let me photograph them in their honest, naturally beautiful and most vulnerable state. With each girls individual photographs I asked them to pose natural, show me a part of their body that they liked and one part that they didn't. This shoot was done in a professional lighting studio using a Canon 6D DSLR camera.
